Play It As It Lays, Joan Didion

I don’t have the time to blog in depth about this book, but here goes.  It was okay.  The language was very beautiful as was Didion’s writing style but I found myself not giving two shits about Maria and her lack of self-worth and of a purpose for her life.  Not my favourite of the books I’ve read so far for Bookstravaganza.  I feel like if I’d had more time to really get into the book I may have enjoyed it more, but that was sadly not the case.

Current total: 7 (Dorothy has read three times as many books as I have, what even.)
